Abstract: This lecture consists of two parts. The first examines the concepts of the Three Bodies and Four Lands in Buddhist thought, using the Yogācāra theory of transformation as a central thread. The second explores the convergences and divergences between Pure Land thought in Chinese Yogācāra and the broader tradition of Pure Land Buddhism.
