Welcome to the Centre of Buddhist Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong

The Centre of Buddhist Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) was formerly known as the Centre for the Studies of Chan Buddhism and Human Civilization. The renamed Buddhist Centre is a research, educational, and outreach centre that collaborates with departments and communities within and outside CUHK to promote academic research on the Buddhist traditions. It is housed within the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies (CRS) under the Faculty of Arts and is generously funded by the Glorisun Charity Foundation and the Western Monastery in Hong Kong.
