Abstract: This symposium honors the enduring legacies of Venerable Master Tanxu (倓虛法師), Master Dingxi (定西法師), and Master Leguo (樂果法師)—three pivotal figures in the modern revival of Chinese Buddhism. Their influence reached deeply into Hong Kong, where they helped establish temples, strengthen sangha communities, and preserve Buddhist teachings during times of transition. This event brings together scholars to reflect on their contributions and explore their impact on Hong Kong’s Buddhist landscape.
