《Glorisun Lecture Series 7》

Professor Shen Weirong has been invited as the speaker for the lecture. He is a Distinguished Changjiang Scholar Professor appointed by China’s Ministry of Education and currently serves as a Professor at the Institute for Advanced Study in Humanities and Social Sciences and the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Tsinghua University, where he also supervises doctoral students.

He previously held positions including Associate Dean of the School of Chinese Classics at Renmin University of China and Director of the Institute of Historical and Philological Studies of the Western Regions. His research focuses on the languages and history of the Western Regions, with particular emphasis on Tibetan history, Tibetan Buddhism, and comparative studies of Chinese and Tibetan Buddhist thought.
